Just kiss and make up already!

These two hot rockin' ladies are Nina Gordon(L) and Louise Post. They had been friends since childhood when they formed Veruca Salt. In the mid-nineties, they released two full-length CDs and one CDEP, each of which made me very, very happy.

Unfortunately, the friendship didn't last very long once they became famous. Allegedly, one of them started dating the other's ex boyfriend, and they split up with EXTREME PREJUDICE. They haven't spoken to each other since.

One of them was dating the other's ex? Jesus, that is such a chick reason for ending a friendship.

I hope all of my old friends and all of my exes are having a giant gang bang right now....ALL INPUTS!!! Who cares? Everyone is someone's ex.

Louise Post still fronts a bastardized version of Veruca Salt, while Nina Gordon will release her second solo effort this summer. They're both OKAY, but without the two of them together it's not the same.

C'mon, ladies: It's time to bury the hatchet and start making music together again. Or at least appear together on a girl on girl webcam site.

I fought the Seether and the Seether won.

The album, preferably. I'm glad you said all that, because now I don't have to keep my Veruca Salt love a secret anymore.

I agree. I loved Veruca Salt and an angel dies everytime someone discusses this tragedy.

le chat,
thanks for the tip. That was a great photo.

dale,
the Seether always wins. Except for that crappy band named Seether. They suck.

gwen,
you should dedicate your next book to Veruca Salt. And me.

andi,
I didn't mean to kill an angel. Wound, maybe.

andi,
that was Juliana Hatfield, and at least she made up with her sister, unlike grudge-holders Louise and Nina.

I remember when Juliana Hatfield used to claim she was a virgin. She was in her 20s and dating Evan Dando at the time. Her mom used to be a well-known journalist for the Boston Globe...for the Arts section.

Todd, I can always count on you to bring up my favourite bands from the 90s. Next you'll be telling me you were an Urge Overkill fan.

I had one of thier cd's years ago and loved it. Their music was great.

I wonder if the girl is still with the other girl's ex? If not I can't see that there should be a problem anymore.

I like them almost as much as I like the Breeders, which of course stems from my undying love of the Pixies.

That is a chick reason to be hateful. I just wind up feeling sorry for the girls who date my exes.

If those two did girl on girl, it should really be considered anorexic on anorexic or ribcage to ribcage.

Love the music! Would hate to see any bones get broken in bed.

You see the problem is that Louise is living up to her "Seether" label.

If you dug them, check out Tara Donnelly and Belly's version of "Are You Experienced" on "Stone Free: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix."

I agree, that ex thing is stupid! I would totally do my best friends ex and she wouldn't want to have anything to do with mine. hhhmm, what does that say about me? Maybe I DATE ASSHOLES!

Love them...

and you!

monkey mc,
never really got into Urge Overkill. They sounded a bit like Cheap Trick to me.

vast,
I'll pickle you!

livi,
really? I don't understand.

cherry,
no, I don't think it lasted very long.

fritz,
they are skinnier than I prefer, but they were Veruca Salt, damn it.

myboy,
Nina still has a major label record contract. Louise is still fronting the bogus Veruca Salt but I think they play art fairs for free these days.

trix,
well, I think the name was meant to be ironic, but they both came from priviledged backgrounds and they've acted like it.

writepro,
I have almost everything Belly recorded. They have a rarities CD that contains "Are You Experienced?", so when I bought that I could sell the Stone Free CD, as the Belly song was the only one I can stand.

vixen,
there may have been something else going on there.

kendra,
have you ever heard Veruca Salt's "Resolver" CD, the one without Nina? It is vicious. Almost every song is a scathing attack on Nina and Dave Grohl, one of her ex-boyfriends (though not the one who broke up the band). It gets old fast, though.

le chat,
are you lovely ladies going to bring your act to Vegas?

tlsd,
I resent that comment.

tumbleweed,
you date assholes? Maybe I have a chance after all.

"once they became famous"

They were famous?

doggrrrrl,
you are a Seether, you hot little chickie.

mona,
no, there's still a cult following.

kat,
well, they weren't American Idol famous, but they had a video M-TV played every five minutes and the album sold over a million copies...
